The design is reminiscent of the checkerboard style.The large diamond shaped facet serves as a table. Like most saturated garnets this gem is on the darker side, with flashes of light showcasing the rich color. It is always recommended with all saturated garnets that they be viewed in person before a decision is made to purchase. The natural inclusions, mostly a veil of small bubbles are next to impossible to see by eye.
